Privacy Policy
Last updated October 8, 2026. Looking for the rules of the road? Read the Terms of Service.
This policy explains what information Ducky Finance (“we,” “us”) collects when you use our website, lessons, and newsletter (the “Services”), why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We collect as little as we can, and we don’t sell your personal information.
1. What we collect
Information you give us.
- Contact form: your name, email address, and whatever you write in your message.
- Newsletter subscription or lesson purchase: your name, email address, and billing details. Payment card numbers go directly to our payment processor; we see only confirmation of payment and the last few digits of the card, never the full number.
- Questions for the newsletter Q&A: the question itself and the name you give us, if any.
Information collected automatically.
- Server logs: when you visit the site, our hosting provider records technical details such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request, and the time of the request. These logs are used for security and to keep the site running.
- Email engagement: our email delivery service may record whether a newsletter was delivered, opened, or a link was clicked. We use this to see which topics land and to fix delivery problems.
- Third-party resources: some pages load web fonts or embedded content from third-party servers. Those servers receive your IP address when the resource loads.
We don’t ask for, and please don’t send us, sensitive information such as government ID numbers, bank account details, or your actual investment holdings.
2. How we use it
- To deliver what you asked for: answer your message, send the newsletter, give you access to the lessons.
- To process payments and keep records of them.
- To send service messages, such as a receipt, a renewal reminder, or a notice that these policies have changed.
- To understand which lessons and posts are useful, so we can improve them.
- To keep the Services secure and to detect abuse.
- To comply with the law and enforce our terms.
We don’t use your information for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
3. Cookies
Our own site is static and doesn’t set tracking cookies. Services we rely on for payments, email, or forms may set cookies of their own when you interact with them, for example to keep a checkout session alive. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; doing so won’t affect reading the site.
4. Who we share it with
We share personal information only in these situations:
- Service providers that help us run the Services: payment processing, email delivery, form handling, and web hosting. They may use your information only to provide their service to us.
- Legal reasons, when we reasonably believe it’s required by law, a court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Ducky Finance, our users, or others.
- A change of ownership, if Ducky Finance is sold or merged. The new owner would be bound by this policy for information collected before the change.
We don’t sell personal information, and we don’t share it with third parties for their own advertising.
5. How long we keep it
- Contact messages: up to two years after our last exchange, so we have context if you write again.
- Subscriber and customer records: for as long as you have an active subscription or lesson access, and afterwards for as long as tax and accounting rules require, typically seven years for payment records.
- Server logs: a short rolling period set by our hosting provider, generally no more than 90 days.
When we no longer need information, we delete it or make it anonymous.
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections to the site and limiting who has access to customer records. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we can’t promise absolute security. If we learn of a breach that affects your information, we’ll tell you as the law requires.
7. Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe from the newsletter using the link at the bottom of any issue, or by emailing us. Unsubscribing ends the paid subscription at the close of the current billing period.
- Access, correct, or delete your information by emailing us. We’ll respond within 30 days and will need to verify it’s you first.
- Object or restrict: you can ask us to stop using your information for a particular purpose.
- Portability: you can ask for a copy of the information you gave us in a common file format.
Depending on where you live, some of these are legal rights (for example under European, UK, or California law) and others are things we offer to everyone regardless. We won’t treat you differently for exercising them. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you may have the right to complain to a data protection authority where you live.
8. Where your information lives
Ducky Finance is based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States or other countries. If you’re visiting from somewhere with different data protection laws, be aware that your information will be handled under US law and this policy.
9. Children
The Services are made for young adults, not children. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13, and anyone under 18 shouldn’t buy lessons or subscribe without a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us and we’ll delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Services or the law change. We’ll update the date at the top of this page, and if a change is significant, we’ll email subscribers and customers before it takes effect.
